🕒 Expected Landfall Date & Area

• Tapah is forecast to make landfall in Guangdong Province, China around September 8. 

• After landfall in China, it will weaken quickly and then drift westward. 

 

⚠️ Effect on Vietnam

• The storm is not expected to directly hit Vietnam’s coast. 

• However, the outer circulation (or remnants) of Tapah will bring heavy rains to Northern Vietnam, especially in the midland and northeastern mountainous areas, from late afternoon/night of September 9 through September 11.
