If you do not have much time to see Tra Su in Chau Doc which is 3 hour away from Can Tho, Lung Ngoc Hoang mangrove reservation area is the best alternative.

 

Although it is less popular than Tra Su forest, Lung Ngoc Hoang still offers a diverse range of birds and fish species. Away from Can Tho only 1.5 hour driving, you can visit the place easily within one day.

7h30 - departure after breakfast

- Expectedly arrive at Lung Ngoc Hoang around 8h45.

- Take a walk through a bamboo trail and then take a boat trip through the forest and rice field.

- Have lunch at the local restaurant inside the forest with local pancakes.

- drive to a local bamboo craft village.

- Pay a visit at a Khmer pagoda on the way back

Aprox. 13h30 back to Green Village

The time is flexible due to your travel plan. You can also do this tour in the afternoon from 13h30 to 18h30.

We will depart early to see more birds; otherwise, if you take this trip in the afternoon, we will see the reservation area as the last stop to see more birds at the sunset.
